BoardEffect Partners with Alliance for Nonprofit Management

Partnership brings steep discount for Alliance Members

May 2, 2008

BoardEffect® and the Alliance for Nonprofit Management are teaming up to raise awareness of E-governance for nonprofits – the use of online technology to enhance board work. From special discounts on the BoardEffect® board portal for Alliance members, to a joint research project on nonprofit boards’ current communication processes, this new partnership promises exciting results.

At the Alliance’s 2008 Annual Conference, taking place July 9-12 in Dearborn, Michigan, BoardEffect will showcase its comprehensive web-based online E-governance tool which, since its official launch in November 2007, is already helping nonprofits across the country streamline information management, promote engagement, and increase knowledge among board members. In addition, the BoardEffect team will share its expertise on the topic of E-Governance for nonprofits and the essential role E-Governance plays in establishing a more informed, accountable, and engaged board of directors.

Dottie Schindlinger, Executive Vice President of BoardEffect® and Mike Kipp, Principal of GovernBest, and BoardEffect Solutions Partner, will co-present a conference session on “E-Governance: Technology Trends Affecting Nonprofit Boards of Directors.” This will be an opportunity to engage consultants, board members, and nonprofit executives in dialog on the profound impact online technologies can have on board governance. The conference session will feature new findings from a survey of Alliance members being conducted this spring.

In addition, starting with the conference kick-off date, BoardEffect is offering a special 15% discount off the annual subscription fee for BoardEffect exclusively to Alliance members. “We’re delighted to be working with the Alliance as a Business Partner,” said Leanne Bergey, President/Founder. “Our two organizations focus on best practices for capacity-building tools and good governance, and the Alliance members will benefit from this mutual interest in working together.”
