How do I get to Elevate 2024?

Getting to Houston for the Elevate 2024 conference is convenient, thanks to its accessibility via two major airports. The Marriott Marquis Houston, where the event is being held, is located in downtown Houston. You can fly into George Bush Intercontinental Airport (IAH), which is about 20 miles away, or William P. Hobby Airport (HOU), which is approximately 9.8 miles from the hotel.

For those driving to the event, valet parking is available at the Marriott Marquis at a daily rate of $65. Alternatively, off-site parking can be found at the Avenida North Garage located at 701 Avenida De Las Americas, Houston, TX 77010, with rates of $65 daily and $70 for oversized vehicles.

Has Diligent reserved hotel rooms for conference attendees?

Yes, Diligent has reserved a limited block of hotel rooms at the Marriott Marquis Houston at a special rate of $269 plus taxes and fees specifically for conference attendees. It’s important to note that the deadline to reserve a room at this discounted rate is August 16, 2024.

After this date, or once the room block is full, reservations will be subject to space availability and may be at a higher rate. Hotel rooms must be canceled 72 hours prior to the scheduled check-in date to avoid a fee equivalent to one night’s room and tax. Dottie Schindlinger is Executive Director of the Diligent Institute, the governance think tank and research arm of Diligent Corporation. In her role, Dottie promotes the intersection of governance and technology as a recognized expert in the field. She co-authored Governance in the Digital Age: A Guide for the Modern Corporate Board Director, ©2019, John Wiley & Sons Publishers, and is creator and co-host of The Corporate Director Podcast, a fortnightly show featuring corporate directors sharing their stories about modern governance.
Dottie was a founding team member of BoardEffect, a board management software platform launched in 2007 focused on serving the needs of healthcare, higher education & nonprofit boards.
